The Valley Regional Enterprise Network launches an ACT LOCAL Campaign to support local businesses
The Valley Regional Enterprise Network (Valley REN), through the Regional Economic Recovery Taskforce (http://www.valleyren.ca/recovery-taskforce/), is implementing an Act Local campaign to encourage everyone to support their communities through a series of actions and to spread awareness of the benefits of supporting local businesses during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
Throughout the weeks leading up to the holiday season and beyond, the ACT Local – Buy, Live, and Grow campaign will highlight the beneficial effects of buying and supporting local in a variety of ways. Through a series of videos, digital and radio ads, the campaign will also showcase the modifications that businesses have undertaken in order to continue operations during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. The ads will also direct audiences towards upcoming local events, local business offerings as well as local business websites and digital media.
Businesses can participate by visiting: www.valleyren.ca/actlocal, by calling 902-678-2200, or by contacting Dan Surette at taskforce@valleyren.ca. A toolkit has been created for anyone that wants to participate in the campaign.
